Featuring the fictional Poseidon Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, The Family Plan was filmed primarily in and around Atlanta, Georgia. The production team cleverly melded various locales to create the essence of a whimsical road trip comedy while showcasing iconic landmarks and vibrant settings.
Including interesting filming locations, Mark Wahlberg stars in this action-comedy about a cross-country road trip filled with chaotic family moments and unexpected twists. As the plot unfolds, the film captures the essence of family dynamics intertwined with comedic escapades that resonate with audiences of all ages.
Wahlberg plays Dan, a family man with three rebellious kids and a dark secret: In the past, he was a trained, lethal assassin. The juxtaposition between his mundane family life and his thrilling past creates both humor and tension, making the story engaging.
Dan left unfinished business with his former mentor and employer, McCaffrey (played by Ciarán Hinds), who comes to catch up. This reconnecting sets off a chain reaction of events that propels the family on an unexpected journey full of laughter and suspense.
Here is our spoiler-free guide to all the filming locations of The Family Plan. You'll find the locations in order of appearance, with the Poseidon Hotel below in the report, providing a rich backdrop to the unfolding drama and comedy.
